What is the all-time way to get candle wax off of silver candlesticks and trays?

I accept heard of a few different means:

Put under hot running water and work off with moisture cloth or soft sponge.
Put nether a hair dryer to soften and work off.
Put into freezer and so flake off.

But I pretty much stick with the first method.

I used cooked up water, goes much faster. The hot water from the sink is ordinarily not hot enough and takes much longer.

I do the freezer affair. works fine. but I should point out that I accept brass candlesticks, not silverish. principle is the same, though.

Cheers everyone. I know about the hot water matter, but it always leaves a marking when I exercise information technology that way.

I'll effort the blowdryer or freezer idea.

I use the blow-dryer method all the time. My flim-flam is to have a folded up paper towel in your other hand, and every bit the wax melts, let the paper towel blot information technology.

I pour the leftover h2o from the Shabbos urn and that does the trick. I only take this happen when I have guests come up and I requite them candles. I employ olive oil every week. I think it burns longer and looks much nicer. Some mornings on Shabbos I wake upwardly and my oil is withal burning.

I only did the blow-dryer mode and it worked wonders! It'south easier and better than pouring hot water and then rubbing information technology off. This went in a few seconds.
